Dana combined with Write:OutLoud® To Go, the talking word processor from Don Johnston Incorporated, and the new AlphaSmart VoiceCard allow users to type text which is converted to speech. A result of technical collaboration with Don Johnston the solution extends Dana's platform to deliver auditory support capabilities to early writers and those who struggle with the mechanics of writing.
Write:OutLoud To Go provides learning supports that inspire writers to evaluate the content of their writing and implement strategies to improve mechanics. Leveraging technology already designed into Dana,
writers simply plug the AlphaSmart VoiceCard into one of the computer companion's two SD slots and listen to their written words through speakers or headphones (not included,
see below).

To take advantage of the auditory support of Write:OutLoud To Go on Dana with AlphaSmart VoiceCard, either external speakers or a headset is required. The audio equipment must have a stereo mini-phono jack.
